English Voiceover: Pitching Pays Off

There’s a moment most entrepreneurs know well: hovering over the “Send” button on a cold email, wondering if it’ll end up buried in someone’s inbox, ignored altogether... Or worse a bit of a snarky reply...
But here’s the thing I've discovered: pitching does pay off!
Some of my best jobs have come from a simple, polite, well-timed email. No fireworks. No pressure. Just a hello, a short intro, and a link to my reel.
Like the time I got in touch with a production studio in Paris and they called me back almost straight away! The English voice they often used had recently left the country and they were looking for new talent. A quick casting and it turned out my voice was a good fit for their client. A few days later, I recorded the BPCE Equipment Solutions video!
It doesn’t stop there. Simply filling in a contact form on a podcast production houses' website turned into a season-long role as a journalist for a BNP Paribas Series. That collaboration came directly from one of those quiet, hopeful outreaches.
Cold emails aren’t about pestering, it’s about connection. It’s how I let studios know I’m here, ready, and reliable. And sometimes, that’s exactly what both parties need.
