WHAT A WEEKEND!

Paris was buzzing with voice artists from all corners of France, and I had the joy of diving right into the very first VO Social in Paris. To kick things off, there was a cosy “warm-up” on Friday night, a chance to meet a few friendly faces before the big day. And then Saturday arrived with the main event at La Felicità, the huge, colourful hangout at Station F. Imagine a voiceover conference meets an Italian feast, with laughter bouncing off the walls and conversations flowing as easily as the vino!

From the moment people started arriving, the atmosphere was electric. Everywhere you turned, there were hugs, handshakes, and that instant recognition of “Ah! So it’s you!” For many of us, it was the first time meeting colleagues we’d only ever known through emails, social posts, or the sound of their voices.

The best part? The sheer variety. French voices and even a few English and Spanish voices. All independent talents sharing experiences, stories, and plenty of laughs. It was impossible to speak to everyone (we definitely needed an extra day for that), but every single conversation left me with stars in my eyes and a big smile on my face.

A huge shout-out to the dream team, Stéphanie, Michael and Estelle, or pulling this off with such energy and care. You gave us more than just a networking event; you created a community moment that I’ll never forget.

And of course, to all my newfound colleagues, it was so lovely to meet you! Let’s keep in touch. And if you’re ever in Paris, drop me a line for a coffee or a beer.

Until the next one: merci, VO Social Paris, for the memories, the inspiration, and the reminder that this industry is bursting with talent and heart.
