For a while, I’d been thinking about updating my commercial demo reel. Not just to showcase a range of reads, but to sharpen my skills and really stretch my delivery. So I set out with two goals in mind: to build a toolkit I could draw from in my booth for day-to-day voice over work, and to use that foundation to record a new commercial reel that felt true to me.

Coaching made to measure

I began coaching with Alexandre Damiani at the beginning of this year and from the first taster session, it was an easy decision to work with him, but a big decision in terms of time and financial investment.

From the get go, I appreciated how clearly he mapped out our sessions. I asked for structure, and a sense of direction and I was not disappointed. If something needed more time, or if I needed to approach it differently, he didn't bat an eyelid bringing flexibility and adaptability.

That combination of clarity and responsiveness made the whole process feel constructive and tailored. What stood out most, though, was his unwavering focus on one thing: helping me succeed. Every session was designed with that goal in mind. And even after our official training ended, Alexandre has continued to support me as I refined and finalised my demo reel - something I’m incredibly grateful for.

A quick thank you

I can't end this blog with out a big thanks to French Voice Over Estelle Hubert for introducing us. This experience has been such a valuable one, and I now have a demo reel I’m genuinely proud of! With new tools, fresh confidence, and a clearer sense of how I want to show up in the commercial space.

P.S. If you’re wondering where the demo is… I'm just putting the final touches on it! Promise I’ll share it very soon. Stay tuned!
